Use it or Lose it Challenge #7 - Rainbows!

For this challenge you could use rainbows themselves or draw inspiration from the colours.  I chose to draw inspiration from the colours.  I had these great Fancy Pants blast off papers and more pics from It's a Blast indoor playground.  I used CTMH colour ready alpha's and cardstock and Fancy Pants Chipboard.

I was asked by the fabulous Roxy what I was reading these days...I am still hopelessly lost in the land of Westeros found in George RR Martin's Games of Throne series.  I am almost done book 4 and really sad, there are only 6 written at the moment.  This was one of those series I swore up and down I wouldn't read until it was finished.  The Calling by Kelley Armstrong was released last I week so that is up next and I also have Kim Harrison's new book in her Rachel Morgan series on the go.  So much to read so little time!

I hope you enjoyed the layout and if you have any great book suggestions please leave them below!!! As always the amazing design team has created some fab artwork so please click the use it or lose link in the top right corner of my blog.  I hope you will play along with us!

Layouts 11 & 12

I have to say I have been too busy scrapbooking to post layouts :)  I took some time off over Easter and started going through my stack of magazines.  If I saw a layout I liked instead of marking it...I just made it!  These came from a couple of old Scrapbookers etc's.  Both layouts of our new Kitty K.C...well she was new in 2010 lol!!!!  They both use some old CM B&T and the second layout (although it's really hard to tell in the picture) uses a lot of white CTMH rub on's.

Come back on Friday of the next Use it or Lose it Challenge!

Use it or Lose it Challenge

This weeks challenge was to take a piece of b&t that you don't particuly like and alter it.  So this was what I started with...

This is from an old promo kit - Key to my Heart.  I have never altered b&t before to I took inspiration from Nikka Geers and came up with this...

I used 3 different stamp sets, connections is the only one I remember at the moment lol...and then turned this into the following card.

Card #2

I am going to alter my challenge a bit from 30 Christmas cards to just 30 cards in general.  This one was cased from the Michaels website.  One of my club girls asked if we could make it so I improvised with the supplies I had and ended up with this:

I used some old k & Company papers and chipboard (the same product we used for our very first Valentine's project...so about 4 years lol).  CTMH colour ready borders, Amore stamp set and cardstock.  I cut up one of my several copies of Romeo and Juliet to stamp on!

Use it or Lose it #4 - Paper Piercing

I have to say paper piercing is my least favorite scrapbooking technique so this was really a challenge for me!  I use a old promo kit - Everyday Celebration.

Haven't had much crafting time lately, hoping that will change soon!  I hope you'll join us in our latest challenge and please check out the work of our talented design team!  www.useitorloseit.com

Use it Lose it Challenge #3 - Inchies

This weeks challenge was to use 1x1 squares or inches.  It's a great way to use up those little scraps!  My layout was from Canada Day 2008, our first back in Saskatchewan.  It rained, my DH worked and the kids spent the day playing Mario Kart.  It was such a change from Devon/Edmonton...Canada Day is the best there!!  Devon had a family fun celebration throughout the afternoon with hot dogs and cake,  There was always tons of things for the kids to do.  We would then head into Edmonton and go to the celebrations in Millwoods and stay for the fireworks.  Regina has things to do here it's just not the same...and our fireworks...well...yep small city, small budget!
