Layouts 36-40

The craft fair is finished and for my first I consider it a success.  I look forward to doing another one next year only this time I will start preparing in January and not October :)

Still trying to catch up on this challenge so here is another bulk set of layouts.

More K & Company...finshed off Halloween for 2008.  Woo Hoo!

I now know the there is only one O in Hokey and Pokey but I was trying to use old CM letters up and now they are stuck.  I hate that I cannot fix it without ruining the layout.  Any tips out there...The paper is either Little Yellow Bicycle or Fancy Pants...it is called Traditions but that is all I remember.

My love for Memory works continues!

This was the second layout from CTMH Sweetheart WOTG.  My brother had a close friend do the wedding pictures and she let me tag along with her and take pics as well.  I got alot of experience without the pressure of messing up someones wedding photos!

5.  The is an old CTMH paper pack I ordered when it went on sale and it has been great for the Kingston leg of our 2010 trip.  I did 4 layouts for the 1000 islands with it...but cannot remember what it is called.  Magificient or something along those lines I think.

Thanks for looking!

Missing in Action...

Hi everyone!  Sorry for the long absence and very sorry I have missed so many of your wonderful posts!  I hope to catch up after my craft sale is complete.  I thought I would share a few of the many projects I have been working on!

I found this idea on Nona Davenport's blog http://nonapearl.blogspot.com/ this summer.  She did a series on recycling objects for crafts.  Nona used mass market books for her wreaths and hot glued them.  I despise my hot glue gun so I used pearl pins...lots and lots of pins.  I thought this was a great way to use up surplus paper.  The idea is though the you make fortune tellers (like when we were kids) using 4x4 squares and pin them upside down to get the flower shape.  It takes about 144 squares (12 sheets of b&t).  So a huge shout out to Nona because I am in love with these...if they don't sell they will make great Christmas gifts!

and yes I had a lot of surplus b&t lol!

I have several canvas pieces completed...this one is my favorite.

and of course washer necklaces (which once I got them loaded on my gypsy so I didn't have to cut them by hand) were alot of fun!
I have completed pencil boxes, coaster post it note holders, Christmas cards and tags, dry erase boards and 12x12 frames with completed scrapbook pages.  I hope to post more later but I better get back to work :)

Layouts 30-35

I'm posting quite a few just so I can feel a bit caught up.  We just got back from a week in Canmore to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.  We were married in Lake Louise and it felt wonderful to be back for our first big anniversary milestone :)  I am going to try to get caught up on everyone's blogs asap.  I'm sure like everyone this month has just been crazy!  Craft sale prep, Christmas card workshops to plan, regular classes and then there's all the regular stuff like family, work and the house.  I guess it will be like this until Christmas is over :)  I wouldn't trade it for anything!

1. I actually bought paper (from Tina's :) made 2 layouts and used all the product I bought.  It felt so good! My kids were pretending to be bad guys.  They look fearsome don't they :)  Used Kaiser Crafts paper, chipboard and tags.

2.  Yay, the first layout of my Disney Album completed.  This was the 3rd layout we completed for the Wicked Wotg from CTMH.

3.  Do you have a box of uncompleted layouts that sit until you finally figure out what to do with them.  That was this layout, I think I have put it in the box 3 years ago...well it was worth the wait because I love the results.   All products CTMH.

4. This trip had to be scrapped simply for the hidden journalling (behind a flip flap not shown) but we had moved back to Regina and had a month were we had no house.  We were supposed to rent the top floor of my Dad's friends house, we then had to share it with his 2 teenage daughters.  It was the longest month of my life!  This was our escape trip.  It was so nice to be alone in that little room!  All products used CTMH

5.  I am a sucker for the discounted K & Company at Michaels so I have a collection that was begging to be used.  Josh will be wearing this costume this year!

Thanks for looking!!!!

Layouts 27, 28 & 29

I'm so behind in posting...I think the "challenge" is posting the layouts not creating them :)   Sorry the picture quality is a little scary.

I love this kit and my beautiful nieces :)

Tina helped me with the title on this one.  I love the expression on Josh's face.  He was so annoyed with all the picture taking :)

More Josh, at this rate I will finish his 1st year album before I finish his older brother's.

I have signed up to be a vendor in a craft show this November.  I'm a little stressed but glad I challenged myself to do it.  You never know until you try right :)

Layouts 24, 25 & 26

This first 2 layouts are from my new stuff from Tina's store :)  I have a new love and it's the Simple Stories company.  I had all horizontal pics for this layout and needed 2 vertical ones...no problem one sheet from the collection has all 6x4 journalling cards. This is the happy day line...I also have the back to school and baby steps lines as well...I love how it works with the CTMH books.

This layout was fun to do...the pics themselves didn't turn out so well but this kaiser craft paper made it easy to finish

Of course we have to enjoy the old with the new so I used some dcwv baby paper from my stash to do this layout of Nate when he was 3 months old (he's now 4).  I hate scrapping chronologically!  My sister completes one album at a time and I can't stand it.  I love the freedom...sometimes the perfect paper is worth waiting for!  What do you think?

Layouts 22 & 23

Well the summer has flown by and the kids went back to school today.  I can't believe it.  My middle son started kindergarten today.  He was so adorable walking to school with his brother.  I ordered the pics tonight...can't wait to scrap them!  I have actually been pretty busy in my craft room lately...could be my new ctmh goodies or all the fabulous paper I have picked up at Tina's new store Scrappin Happins!  I hope she posts pics for everyone soon as she really has a great space!  She's been working hard and it's really paid off.  Of course I don't have those layouts photographed yet so I'll share these ones for now :)

This layout was the first time I have ever embossed chipboard.  I really like the effect and it tied it together.  I still have stardust paper left :)  I need to stop buying retired papers on clearance.  Do you hoard papers?  I'm really getting much better at not collecting but using!!

This was a promo last year...Felicity I think.  I love fall and we always have a ton of pics!  I only got 2 of these kits...that's an improvement right? LOL!
I inked and stamped our colour ready alpha's with the flourish from stamps set that came with the kit.  I didn't do a whole lot with this layout in terms of embellishment. Sometimes I really like a simple clean layout.   I took Tresa Black's class at convention and picked up some great tips for clustering embellishments that I can't wait to try.  Might help me jazz things up a bit :)

Layouts 20 & 21

First I have to say that CTMH convention was incredible!!!  Tina and I had so much fun, we were going from 7 am until midnight at least...sometimes later (there was a midnight showing of HP 7 thrown in for fun).

I need to get moving on the layout challenge as now more than 1/2 the year is gone and I am not yet 1/2 done.  Yikes!

These are just a couple of Echo Park layouts I completed back in June.  I love Echo Park...they are so good for bright fun papers!

Convention Swaps

So I decided I was going to participate in swapping in convention even though a) I hate making cards and b) I'm not very good at it.  I was at Kim McArthur's blog http://kimscherrystreetcreations.blogspot.com/ and inspiration hit!  She made a great card using one of the paper flower techniques.  So thanks Kim for the inspiration!!!  I used a lot of the wishes templates and this is what I came up with.  3 more sleeps!!!!  I'm California Dreamin :)

1. Sophia
 2, Wings

3. Fanfare
 4. Sweetheart

Layouts 19 & 20

So first of all, I finally downloaded Google Chrome and I think everything is now up and working properly.  I have tried to get to some blogs today and well try to get to everyone's by the end of the week!  I have been following all your lovely artwork to date!!  I am also counting down the days to Convention in Disneyland.  Tina and I leave in 10 days!!!!!!  But I'm not excited at all :)

So these are just a couple more of layouts from our scrappy weekend :)  I'm not even sure which company this product belongs to...but I got to use it from my stash so that's always a good thing.  It might by LYB...

I love CTMH, they make it so simple!!!  I used an older kit Tinkerin for this layout!

Layouts 17 & 18

I had such an amazing time last weekend scrapping with my girls!  I completely finished 19 layouts, I was 6 short of my goal but I am still really happy.  These 2 layouts were my favorite from the whole weekend!!!  This layout was done in the new Little Yellow Bicycle baby collection!  I love this set and can't wait to use the rest of it!!!  When Josh was born everyone was concerned about the swine flu so the kids weren't allowed in the hospital to meet their new brother.  I understand the why's of it but I was still mad.  We had to juggle babysitting between my sister and parents so everyone could come and see Josh.  Happily 24 hours later we were home, I'm sure if he wasn't a c-section baby I would have left that afternoon!  The boys were so excited to meet their brother.  They couldn't get enough of him.  I will always cherish these pictures!

This layout was done in CTMH daydream and K & Company stickers.  Nate and Sky were happily playing in Sky's bedroom and my sister Janine and I were enjoying a great visit.  All of sudden we see Nate at the top of the staires wearing a princess dress.  Sky followed behind with a very satisfied smile.  I still to this date have any idea how she got him to go along with it but I am so happy.  I love scrapping girly pages of my boys.  When Will was this age I have pics of him painting Katie's toenails and playing make-up.  Too much fun!!!

Lots more to come.  I still can't leave comments on people's blogs.  Really hoping they fix it soon!

Miracle 1st Birthday

My good friend at work has a grandson turning 1 this weekend so I did up a 9x9 accordian album similar to the one I did last year for Julianne.  It was a great project to gear me up for our Scrapaganza weekend this weekend.  I have been in a creative funk lately...haven't wanted to scrapbook and really haven't wanted to read either which is very strange for me!!!  But I am so excited for this weekend...only 1/2 day left of work and then Friday evening starts 3 days of scrapbooking with my girls!!!  This is the second year my husband has cleared the kids out of the house for a boys weekend and I get to spend my time scrappin with some truly wonderful women...yay! Anyways here is some pics of Rohan's album.  It is very similar to the one posted last year but I thought I would share anyways.  Should have lots of layouts to share after the weekend :)

Layout #16

Wow I can't believe it's been 3 weeks since I've been on here.  Not sure where the time went!!!  Have been busy and haven't had much time for scrappin lately!  This was a quick layout to do and a great pattern for only a few random pics of something!

Layouts 14 & 15 - A Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas

I am in love with LYB products, they are one of my favorite non ctmh companies!!  These are a few of the layouts I created with the Christmas Delights collection.

For everyone that leaves comments I just wanted to know how much I appreciate it!!!  It brightens my day so thank you!!!

Layout #13

Technically most of this layout was completed last year but put on the finishing touches last week.  This is a pic of my now 4 year old when he was 10 months.  I have a calendar page at the beginning of each month for his baby book... well I plan on it anyways.  The paper is from a slab my mom brought me back from Hobby Lobby.  I love it!

I haven't been scrappin very much other than putting all the incredible swap layouts I received together.  I need a good day to go through and add pics to them!

We have also been busy adjusting to our latest family member...we adopted an Australian Shepard puppy whom we have named Jasper.  He's 4 months old and sweet as a button!!  My kids are so happy to have a pet that will play with them.  The cats are not very social with the kids so it's nice they now have a pet too!

The last is for Adult female.  I have so much Magic moments laying around I had to use it and I am very happy with the results.  I have never done a layout about me before...probably won't ever again but I'm glad I did it :)

Swap Spoilers...Layouts 8 & 9

Here are my first 2 swap spoilers for Tina's Funky Swap 3.  The first is for the Spring theme...I changed my theme at the last minute and did Mother's Day.  I thought it suited the layout better than April Showers Bring May Flowers.  I used the Key to My Heart paper pack and our pre cut flowers.  The title came from the Celebrate with Flourish cricut cart.

The second is for the Adult Male.  I used Backcountry, the letters came from the Poster Board Alpha set and all other images were stamped as well :)  I plan on journalling next to the bear and the tree just haven't figured that part out yet!

Thanks for looking!
