Layout 28

I love the Stella papers from CTMH's Spring/Summer catalog!!  Next to Superhero (mother of 3 boys) Stella was my favorite.  I am trying not to hoard lol!!  This was my parents 35 anniversary...that's them with all the grandkids on the left.  It was alot of fun to have everyone together!!  For their 40th they are taking the whole family to Disneyworld...only a year and 1/2 to go!!!

Layout 27

Ack...another month has gone by.  Life is crazy as always.  Tis the season for Christmas card workshops and craft fairs.  So I have been busy prepping for those.  Next week I am going back to the book store for some seasonal work.  I'm really excited to be working with books again!!!  Such a nice change from my day job which I am grateful to have...don't get me wrong but there have been so many changes lately.  It's getting to be a little overwhelming!

On to my layout...just a fun layout of my kids and husband being goofy.  I am almost out of Stardust paper but I might be able to get one more layout out of it :)

Hope you all have wonderful weekend!!!

Hope you all have a great weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

I have to scrapbook pics of Christmas in the summer because by the time I have finished with my craft sale and the xmas workshops...I'm done!!!  It's fun in the summer to think about Christmas fun!!!  It was also one of the first layouts I have completed with the large flip flaps.  One was 8x12 and the other 4x12.  I love how it turned out!

I think this was part of the Believe WOTG...maybe????

Thanks for looking.  Have a great day!!!

My hero

I love how close my boys are!!!  They are such good friends now, I really hope it continues throughout their lives.  These pics were last years first day of school pics and for me they sum up how close they are.  Does this happen to you where you love the pictures so much that it's hard to do the layouts?   I love how these layouts turned out...but yep it was a struggle to get them started.  All layouts used CTMH superhero papers.  I embossed the chipboard stars to mimick the paper.

Happy Fall & finally some layouts :)

I can't believe how fast September is flying by.  Both kids are in swimming lessons in school already.  My grade 3'er ran in his very first cross country track meet and we are very proud of him!!!  Running really isn't his thing but he wanted to join and had a great time.  He's excited to join again next year!!!

Well I am happy the fall season is here!!!  It's my favorite time of year!!  So here are a couple of layouts using last year's Bo Bunny fall line and 2009's fall pics.

Anyone still there????

So I have been missing from the crafting world for a couple of months while we renovated our basement.  My craft room has been in boxes while we braced our basement walls and switched a few things around.  This was my old craft room...I forgot to take pics before I tore it apart :(

The kids had so much fun helping!!!

And the craft room becomes the new toy room!!!

Where did an entire month go?

Wow, I can't believe it's been a month since my last post!  It has been a crazy month +.  Mosaic was a success, I took over 200 photo's in 18 hours over the weekend.  I had no time to worry about anything but how long the lineups were getting.  It was exhausting but a ton of fun and a great learning experience.  Then  it was off to the Sundale Resort on Last Mountain Lake for 5 days of scrapbooking with 4 amazing women!!!!

We had the whole place to ourselves which was wonderful!  We quickly spread out everywhere lol!  This was our scrappin area!

Debbie finished her Disney album this trip!

Our last day we did a mini photo shoot...Tina looking beautiful as always!

Okay I did actually get some work done...I have a ton of layouts to post but I will start with a few cards I made for the last Use it or Lose Challenge (that I never posted...oops).

All supplies are CTMH and I think they are all retired as well!

Well after we recovered from Sundale we had a visit from the in-laws and a last minute vacation to Edmonton for Canada Day.  After 5 years of being gone it still felt like home.  Didn't really get to visit to much as we took the kids everywhere we could in 3 days...Galaxyland, Telus World of Science, the Valley Zoo and Fort Edmonton Park.   Many layouts to come!!!  One last pic to share...we did visit with my DH's best friend and her very large bull mastiff (all 209 pounds of him).  Such a beautiful gentle giant.  He was so good with the boys!!!

I can't wait to catch up on your blogs.  I hope you all had a wonderful Canada Day/Independence Day!!!

Use it or Lose it Challenge

Okay so this challenge was a little delayed but we are back up and running!  This challenge is to recycle something and use it in your project.  I admit I was a little lost with this one...

but this is what I came up with.  I used old Boom-Di-Ada paper and for my recycled portion I cut up an old close to my heart box and used it as a neutral accent.  I hope you`ll join us at www.useitorloseit.blogspot.com

Sundale Scrapbooking Retreat!

Okay, I am stressing & really excited about Mosaic tonight I know that once this weekend is over I can look forward to this....

This is the Sundale recreation property 45 minutes outside of Regina.  We have rented the entire place for 4 nights of pure scrapbooking bliss!!!  There are 5 of us going out so it should be a great weekend!  Will post more pics after we get back!!!

Come back Friday for our next Use it or Lose it challenge

Layout 17

Our use it or lose challenge was delayed a couple of weeks which has caused some serious blog neglect!  That and our very dreary weather!!  It has done nothing but rain all week (we even had a bit of snow).  We had some sun Friday and Saturday but it was colder out!  So my layout is inspired by my need for sun and heat!!!

I`m pretty pumped for this weekend.  I was asked to help out for Mosaic (our local cultural festival) taking pictures for the Romanian Pavillion.  They have a backdrop of Castle Dracula and costumes for people to dress up in.  It should be a lot of fun!!!

I hope the sun is shining wherever you are!!!

Fall Fun

This was another page map from Scrapbooker's Etc...I am so sad they have announced their next issue will be their last.  I hope it's not a sign of things to come!

This was our 2010 trip to the pumpkin patch...it was a complete disaster.  I'm happy I have any pictures at all.  My sister threw her back out as soon as we got there, so my DH & I had all 6 kids while her husband helped her to the car.  The girls were of course upset their Mom was hurt so they didn't want to co-operate.  Will had a really weird rash above his eye that took until Christmas to clear up (we still don't know what it was) so I didn't get very many pics of him.  Josh wasn't feeling co-operative either and I don't know where Nate was or what he was doing since I really didn't end up with any pics of him.  That all being said I love this layout so I guess it was worth all the chaos!

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother`s Day!!!

Use it or Lose it Weddings!

This challenge really got me off my butt to make progress on my sister's wedding album.  I had put a lot of layouts together but hadn't done any of the embellishing.  This one so far is my favorite.  The whole album is being done in Miracle.  Not only did my little sister get married but I this was also my first wedding shot as she trusted me with the photography.  There are lots of things I wish I would have done differently but also a lot of things I was really happy with.  It was a learning experience for sure!

Please join us at use it or lose it.com and play along!

Just a quick post this morning...this was Nate's 4th Birthday (2010).  I used a Fancy Pants kit called Happy Birthday (go figure)!  Guess I should get to work.  Happy Tuesday!!!

Use it or Lose it Challenge #7 - Rainbows!

For this challenge you could use rainbows themselves or draw inspiration from the colours.  I chose to draw inspiration from the colours.  I had these great Fancy Pants blast off papers and more pics from It's a Blast indoor playground.  I used CTMH colour ready alpha's and cardstock and Fancy Pants Chipboard.

I was asked by the fabulous Roxy what I was reading these days...I am still hopelessly lost in the land of Westeros found in George RR Martin's Games of Throne series.  I am almost done book 4 and really sad, there are only 6 written at the moment.  This was one of those series I swore up and down I wouldn't read until it was finished.  The Calling by Kelley Armstrong was released last I week so that is up next and I also have Kim Harrison's new book in her Rachel Morgan series on the go.  So much to read so little time!

I hope you enjoyed the layout and if you have any great book suggestions please leave them below!!! As always the amazing design team has created some fab artwork so please click the use it or lose link in the top right corner of my blog.  I hope you will play along with us!

Layouts 11 & 12

I have to say I have been too busy scrapbooking to post layouts :)  I took some time off over Easter and started going through my stack of magazines.  If I saw a layout I liked instead of marking it...I just made it!  These came from a couple of old Scrapbookers etc's.  Both layouts of our new Kitty K.C...well she was new in 2010 lol!!!!  They both use some old CM B&T and the second layout (although it's really hard to tell in the picture) uses a lot of white CTMH rub on's.

Come back on Friday of the next Use it or Lose it Challenge!

Use it or Lose it Challenge

This weeks challenge was to take a piece of b&t that you don't particuly like and alter it.  So this was what I started with...

This is from an old promo kit - Key to my Heart.  I have never altered b&t before to I took inspiration from Nikka Geers and came up with this...

I used 3 different stamp sets, connections is the only one I remember at the moment lol...and then turned this into the following card.

Please join us at Use it or Lose it (just click the link to the right) and check out the wonderful work of our design team!!!

Card #2

I am going to alter my challenge a bit from 30 Christmas cards to just 30 cards in general.  This one was cased from the Michaels website.  One of my club girls asked if we could make it so I improvised with the supplies I had and ended up with this:

I used some old k & Company papers and chipboard (the same product we used for our very first Valentine's project...so about 4 years lol).  CTMH colour ready borders, Amore stamp set and cardstock.  I cut up one of my several copies of Romeo and Juliet to stamp on!

Use it or Lose it #4 - Paper Piercing

I have to say paper piercing is my least favorite scrapbooking technique so this was really a challenge for me!  I use a old promo kit - Everyday Celebration.

Haven't had much crafting time lately, hoping that will change soon!  I hope you'll join us in our latest challenge and please check out the work of our talented design team!  www.useitorloseit.com

Use it Lose it Challenge #3 - Inchies

This weeks challenge was to use 1x1 squares or inches.  It's a great way to use up those little scraps!  My layout was from Canada Day 2008, our first back in Saskatchewan.  It rained, my DH worked and the kids spent the day playing Mario Kart.  It was such a change from Devon/Edmonton...Canada Day is the best there!!  Devon had a family fun celebration throughout the afternoon with hot dogs and cake,  There was always tons of things for the kids to do.  We would then head into Edmonton and go to the celebrations in Millwoods and stay for the fireworks.  Regina has things to do here it's just not the same...and our fireworks...well...yep small city, small budget!

Head to www.useitorloseit.blogspot.com and check out the work of our talented design team!!!
